Peterborough - Known for it Cathedral founded 654 AD is one of the UK’s most important Norman structures. It features a unique 13th-century painted wooden ceiling—one of only four surviving in Europe. The cathedral is the burial site of Katharine of Aragon (first wife of Henry VIII) and was the original burial place of Mary, Queen of Scots, before her body was moved to Westminster Abbey in 1612.
